01How much is the diagnostic fee?+
MajorMend charges an $80 diagnostic fee for the service visit and appliance diagnosis. If you choose to proceed with the repair, the $80 diagnostic fee is applied toward the repair cost.
02What happens if I decide not to repair the appliance?+
If you decide not to proceed with the repair after the diagnosis, you only pay the $80 diagnostic fee for the technician’s visit and diagnosis.
03Will I know the repair price before the work begins?+
Yes. After diagnosing the appliance, the technician will explain the problem and provide the repair price before any repair work begins. You decide whether you would like to proceed.
04What appliances does MajorMend repair?+
MajorMend currently repairs washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens / stoves, and wall ovens.
05Do you repair all appliance brands?+
We repair most major brands including Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Bosch, and KitchenAid. Not sure? Call or send your model number and we’ll confirm before booking.
06How do I schedule appliance repair?+
Use our Schedule Service calendar or call MajorMend directly at 860-316-3454.
07When is my appointment confirmed?+
Choose an available date and time, enter your service details, and complete the booking in our calendar. Your appointment is confirmed when the calendar displays the booking confirmation. No follow-up call is needed to confirm your time.
08What information should I provide when scheduling service?+
Choose an available date and time, then provide your full name, phone number, exact service address, ZIP code, appliance type and brand, and a description of the problem. The model number is optional.

10I don’t see my location listed. Can I still request service?+
Yes. Call 860-316-3454 and we’ll confirm whether service is available at your address.
11How long does an appliance repair usually take?+
Repair time depends on the problem and whether the required parts are available. After diagnosis, the technician can explain whether the repair can be completed during the visit or requires a follow-up appointment.
12Do I need to know what is wrong with my appliance before booking?+
No. Just tell us what the appliance is doing—for example, “refrigerator not cooling” or “dryer not heating.” The technician will diagnose the cause during the service visit.
13Should I repair or replace my appliance?+
That depends on the appliance, its age, condition, the problem, and the repair cost. After diagnosis, we can explain the repair needed so you can decide what makes sense for you.
